We plant over one million trees a year, radiata pine, Douglas fir, eucalyptus, and native species. From site preparation through to successful establishment, our crews deliver every time.
Our teams carry out thinning operations across 600–700 hectares each season. We selectively remove stems to improve stand quality, reduce competition, and accelerate growth in the retained crop trees.
Efficient early mechanical thinning to reduce stand density at the right stage. Carried out to exacting specifications to ensure optimal spacing and long-term timber value.
Grow Safe certified operators carry out targeted release spraying to suppress competing vegetation and protect young trees. We also manage pest species that threaten plantation health and regeneration.
Wilding conifers are a serious threat to New Zealand's high-country landscapes. Our team provides systematic control, from aerial and ground-based spraying to manual cutting, protecting native ecosystems.
Manual and mechanical removal of tussock and invasive weed species to prepare sites for planting and protect established crops. Our crews work to exacting standards, clearing competing vegetation so your trees can establish and thrive.
Large and small tree felling carried out with safety-first chainsaw technique. High pruning removes lower branches to produce clear, high-value logs, improving timber grade and long-term returns.

We plant over 1,000,000 trees annually and manage 600–700 hectares of thinning for value each year. Certified in Safetree and Growsafe, we work with major forestry companies providing planting, manual and chemical thinning, spraying, and production tree falling services.
Woodsmen Tree Service is the arboricultural division, delivering professional tree services for residential, rural, and commercial clients. Our work includes tree removals, pruning, and hazardous tree management, with a strong focus on safety, skill, and efficiency.
